Pursuant to Regulation No. 25677, dated December 01, 2004, published on official gazette, on Gas Free Certification for construction, maintenance, repair and disassembly of ships and vessels, it is obligatory to get a GAS FREE CERTIFICATE for hot and/or cold work procedures specified in the regulation and to make regular gas measurements and get certification during repair of the vehicle and the said CERTIFICATE CAN ONLY BE ISSUED BY A DULY AUTHORIZED GAS FREE CERTIFICATION EXPERT.
Before and after the cleaning and ventilation processes performed in tanks, lockers, bottom, top or suspended tanks, engine room, fuel and oil tanks and other closed spaces of ships or vessels where flammable, explosive and toxic substances in liquid, gas or aerosol state are stored; gas free certificate is issued in the following cases for making access and cold or hot works in a safe manner.
- For each access to hazardous areas and adjacent compartments that contain poisonous substances or contained these substances in the past,
B) For any work that may involve hot processes and cause sparks in areas that contain combustible, flammable and explosive or hazardous materials or contained these materials in the past, and in their adjacent compartments,
C) For any hot work on the auxiliary elements such as pipe circuit, coil, pump, and fittings in connection with hazardous areas specified in item (B) of this article,
D) For any hot work in sections such as bilge system, machine room etc. where combustible, flammable and explosive materials and pressurized systems are present,
E) For any hot work on fittings, pipe circuits, coils, pumps of systems that are under pressure or contain flammable or toxic substances under normal operating conditions, and their near and adjacent compartments,
F) For any hot work in hollow structural elements such as drains, condensers, pipelines.WE ARE GRANTED GAS FREE CERTIFICATION EXPERT CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF SHIPYARDS AND COASTAL STRUCTURES AFFILIATED WITH MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION, MARITIME AFFAIRS AND COMMUNICATIONS AND WE DULY PROVIDE GAS MEASUREMENT AND CERTIFICATION SERVICES (GAS FREE CERTIFICATE) IN ANY PART OF TURKEY.
